29 July 2019 - 4:51pm

Following the success of our one-day courses earlier this year, we have now have more dates on the 23rd September and 26th November.

Kewtech are offering a one-day PAT Training course to the complete requirement of the Code of Practice, which covers the “In-service Testing and Inspection of Electrical Equipment”.

The course will describe what needs to be done for all types of appliances; portable, handheld, stationary, moveable and fixed. Full details are below and you can sign up here.

Course Overview
The course will provide you with the knowledge and ability to cover the six elements of PAT testing with the Kewtech system, which means you can cover your obligations without having to use a pen. The system works seamlessly with Kewtech Testers but it can also dovetail with other brands. We like it when people bring along other brands, as it proves a great comparison to highlight the merits of the Kewtech system.
The one-day course will start at 9.30am and end at 4pm, with coffee and lunch breaks. At the end of the day there will be a multiple choice questionnaire, which we will stay and work with you on for as long as you need to understand it and get it right! The course is structured as follows:
1. Introduction
2. Basic electrical theory
    a) Why test your electrical appliances
    b) The six elements of PAT testing
3. Equipment construction explained Class I, Class II and Class III equipment
4. Inspection and Testing

    c) Electrical Testing of Class II
    d) How to treat Class III appliances
    e) How to treat IT equipment
